Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of medicine. In the National Honors Convocation on Medicine & Forensics, you will learn about this ever-changing discipline through an intense hands on curriculum led by med students, practicing physicians, and researchers as you meet new friends and explore great cities and universities. |

In the NHC on Medicine you will:
- Learn to perform a patient diagnosis in a complicated medical case and present the diagnosis
- Participate in each phase of the patient process, from interviewing to preliminary assessment to
differential diagnosis, and ultimately, treatment.
- Research current trends in medicine utilizing the same methodology as first-year
medical school students.
- Explore and debate the ethical issues facing modern doctors.
- Complete two dissections
Focused Field Trips
Visits to hospitals, medical schools, and medical research facilities.
Industry Panels
You will hear from leading medical professionals in a variety of practices. Industry panels may include such topics as: “The Law of Medicine,” “The Ethics of Research — Stem Cells,” and “Socialized Medicine — Will it Work?”
