2009 NHC on TV & Film

Lights, Camera, Action!

 

In the National Honors Convocation on Television and Film you will be immersed in the world of film production as you complete a short film project with a production team and learn about the various aspects of the industry.

 

During your time with NHC you will:

  • Study all phases of television and film production and produce your own short film project with a production team
  • Write the script, cast, act, direct and edit the film and leave with a completed DVD
  • Learn how to pitch your movie project
  • Read and analyze scripts comparing the written word to the finished project
  • Meet with industry professionals as they focus on the various aspects of the filmmaking process

 

Focused Field Trips may include:
Studio tours, visits to live television tapings, and visits to film schools

Industry panels may include:
“The Art of the Pitch — How to Present your Project,” “Developing Projects that Sell — What Producers Look For,” and

“The Written Word — Writing Scenes That Jump Off the Page.”
